The birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda – 12th is National Youth Day!

January 12th is National Youth Day and this is the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda! Indian Government already set some national youth festivals from 12th January to 16th January 2023! This year, the Yuva Diwas festival is organized by GOI with the hosting state, Karnataka! In Hubballi, Karnataka, our prime minister will inaugurate the event on 12th January 2023!

12th January will be celebrated as a green youth festival where only napkins and reusable cutlery are going to be used! In the year 1985, when the government declared swami Vivekananda’s birth as a Yuwa diwas! This festival is celebrated on national platforms to showcase our Indian talent through different games and activities to learn and understand new initiatives and ideas.

Celebrate the day and enjoy festival

Our union ministry of youth and sports, Government of India, already declared five days youth program in Karnataka which starts on 12th January 2023! In this event, 30,000 youth approx will participate in the inaugural function where our prime minister will share his vision with all attendees and delegates!

The name Swami Vivekananda is well known to every Indian, and this individual was crucial to our independence. Like every year, National Youth Day is observed on January 12; this year, the day is inaugurated by the prime minister himself in Karnataka’s Hubballi, where thousands of young stars and youths from various States and Union Territories of India will be present. National Youth Day is a time when his thoughts are shared with the youth.

Viksit Yuva, Viksit Bharat, or Developed Youth, Developed India, is the theme of the 2023 Rastriya Yuva Diwas. It is true that a country cannot develop if young people are not involved in it. India currently has the youngest people per country in the entire world. From January 12 to January 16, 2023, National Youngsters Day will be observed as a festival during which youth from all across the nation will have the opportunity to show their abilities and pick up new ones from their peers.

Details about the Swami Vivekananda Jayanti

Every year on January 12th, Swami Vivekananda Jayanti is celebrated as National Youth Day. His actual name was Narendranath Datta, and he passed away on July 4, 1902, when he was 39 years old. He was born on January 12, 1863. Since then, it has been celebrated annually as National Youth Day from January 12 to 16 for 5 days with one hosting State to honor him, his philosophy, and his contribution to India’s independence. In 1985, the Indian government designated his birthday as Rashtriya Yuwa Diwas.

So, we should celebrate swami Vivekananda’s birthday as a national youth day, and every state within India participates in some youth sports and activities to celebrate this day! Especially Kolkata within west Bengal also celebrates this day with full of youth activities and functions. Belur math in Kolkata also celebrates every year this day with a huge crowd the whole day! It’s a day to remind freedom, courage, and quotes that Swami Vivekananda stated to us!
