The engagement of Anant Ambani & Radhika Merchant took place on Thursday at Antilia. Incidentally, Anant happens to be the youngest son of Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani. On the other hand, Radhika Merchant is the adorable daughter of Viren Merchant, the Encore Healthcare CEO. Here, we like to mention that Antilia is the residence of the Ambanis in Mumbai.
The grand ceremony
It is a fact that the two got engaged in the middle of a grand ceremony in a traditional way. Both Radhika and Anant performed Chunari Vidhi and Gol Dhana as well as other Gujarati rituals. Gol Dhana happens to be a sort of engagement ceremony that is held in the typical Gujarati tradition. As a matter of fact, there was a distribution of coriander seeds and jaggery at the place of the bridegroom, the location of the event. Both families were involved in exchanging greetings and gifts to observe this pre-wedding ceremony in a typical Gujarati style. Following the rituals and ceremonies, both the bride and the groom exchanged rings with one another and they had been close friends for quite some time.

The Ambanis received the family of the bride very cordially at their house in the middle of the chanting of mantras and aarti. Incidentally, the bridegroom is from the region of Kutch in Gujarat and she is a top-notch classical dancer as well with the training of as many as eight years. It is a fact that Guru Bhavana Thakar is responsible for providing dance lessons to Radhika during all these years.
The bride put on an attractive Khosla lehenga which was pink in color while Anant wore a wonderful and trendy kurta-pyjama set that was navy blue in color. Incidentally, the attire of Radhika featured intricate gold decorations.
The start of the festivities saw the sister of the bridegroom, namely, Isha visiting the family home of the Merchants and inviting the bride to the engagement ceremony along with her kin. As a matter of fact, the ‘roka’ ceremony of the reputed couple took place at the Shrinathji Temple located in the state of Rajasthan.
Anant has the distinction of studying at Brown University in the US, and presently, he is the head of the new energy business of his family. On the other hand, the bride had her education at New York University and presently she happens to be the Encore Healthcare director. As mentioned earlier, Radhika is also well-conversant in classical dancing.
